Facilities Assistant (Handyperson)

POSITION: Facilities Assistant / Handy person

LOCATION: Hackney (E8)

DURATION: Temporary contract with a view to going permanent for the right candidate after a 3 month period

HOURS OF WORK: 7:30am till 4:30pm Monday to Friday (approx. 40 hours per week)
Candidates must be flexible with hours

RATE OF PAY: 8.60/hour whilst on a temp contract

Support engineers on site with planned tasks such as planned preventative maintenance across the build fabric
Respond quickly and make safe any reactive faults within the buildings to make sure the public and staff are safe to use facilities on site
Basic trades work such as painting and decorating, cleaning, grounds maintenance, furniture removal
Help prepare areas for events/meetings etc.
Must be prepared to turn their hand to given tasks to ensure the smooth running of the site
Portering across the building delivering post, learning materials etc. as required by the business
Keep computerised records up to date

Qualifications in basic trades such as carpentry, plumbing etc. would be beneficial for this post but not essential should the candidate have experience
Good level of customer service and communication skills
