Kill your speed

Some 244 people were killed in speed-related crashes on Britain’s roads in 2015 – so it’s no wonder new rules in England and Wales mean that speeding offenders will now face bigger fines.

Drivers caught doing 41mph in a 20mph zone, 51mph in a 30mph zone or 66mph in a 40mph zone could be fined between 125 and 175% of their weekly income. Anyone caught doing 101mph on a motorway could be disqualified for up to 56 days and fined up to 175% of their weekly income.
