In the summer months the student halls of residence (532 rooms) were converted into holiday and executive accommodation and rented to the public. Historically this operation was carried out by an external sub-contractor but in summer 2016 SkyBlue was given the assignment.
SkyBlue needed to be able to supply;
- Approximately 70 cleaners for 1 day
- Approximately 50 cleaners for 14 weeks covering 37.5hrs per week
The cleaners would be carrying out domestic cleaning, vacuuming, kitchen and bathroom cleans and bed linen changes. Read more by downloading the Case Study

National Offenders Management Service

This first generation outsourcing contract included a 350+ temporary workers incumbent within the prison’s facilities management estate. SkyBlue, as Carillion’s recruitment business were given a number of challenges to meet to ensure the new contract could run efficiently with this substantial temporary workforce. To support the new RBS facilities management contract Carillion required 50 full time support staff at offices in Manchester and 25 full time Mobile Engineers across the west of the UK. The support staff would handle incoming calls from the bank and prioritise planned and reactive maintenance jobs with the engineers throughout the estate. The Mobile Engineers were needed in the following disciplines Gas, Air-Con, Fabric and Electrical.
